The Garda Volleyball club was established in September 2003. It currently has 2 teams involved in the VAI National League - 1 in the men's 1st Division and 1 in the women's 2nd Division. Its teams also compete in the VAI National Championships, in which its men's team has clinched 2 Junior Cup titles over the years.
The club also represents Irish Volleyball in the World Police and Fire Games, the 2nd largest sporting event in the world after the Summer Olympics in terms of competitor numbers. This event takes place every two years and is hosted by different cities worldwide, having visited Quebec and Adelaide in 2005 and 2007 respectively. The club will be competing in the upcoming 2009 games this Summer in Vancouver, with New York and Belfast upcoming in 2011 and 2013 respectively. More club info >>
